I
QUIT!
"I am now a NON-Smoker for good." - Joel, Construction
Worker
Yes, smokers who come to us for help become successful
in smoking cessation. Some took the path of gradual
reduction in the number of cigarettes consumed per day,
some did the cold turkey approach and stopped
immediately.
The 4-hour Stop Smoking Workshop incorporates many useful
techniques to resolve any emotions gained from smoking.
Our experience shows that smokers smoke to satisfy an
emotional need. Because the emotions are satisfied,
smoking continues until it becomes a habit. We have not
seen anyone who smoke just for the sake of smoking.
There is always a reason why someone smokes.
One of our most recent graduate from a Stop Smoking
program is Joel. Joel smoked 25 cigarettes a day. He had
tried different methods to stop smoking before he came
to us but with no success. His wife told him about
hypnosis therapy and found us. During our talk with
Joel, we found his triggers to go for a smoke. We
resolved the trigger using hypnosis therapy and NLP
techniques. Before the day was over, Joel is a proud
NON-SMOKER! He is so happy. After a week, he started
feeling the positive benefits of not smoking. He happily
told his smoker friends about his successful experience
with Power To Change Hypnosis.
We have many more success stories and we'll share them
with you at the workshop. Joel is successful because he
is fully committed to stop smoking. The help that we
gave and his readiness met perfectly to produce the
outcome that he aimed for.
| Some thoughts about smoking:
"Smoking
and exposure to second-hand smoke are
recognized as major risk factors for lung
cancer, respiratory diseases, and other
health problems." - Indicators of Well Being
in Canada, HRSDC
"Smoking is a leading cause of cancer and
death from cancer. It causes cancers of the
lung, esophagus, larynx, mouth, throat,
kidney, bladder, pancreas, stomach, and
cervix, as well as acute myeloid leukemia ."

The immediate health benefits of quitting smoking are
substantial:
* Heart rate and blood pressure, which are abnormally
high while smoking, begin to return to normal. * Within a few hours, the level of carbon monoxide in
the blood begins to decline. (Carbon monoxide reduces
the blood’s ability to carry oxygen.) * Within a few weeks, people who quit smoking have
improved circulation, produce less phlegm, and don’t
cough or wheeze as often. * Within several months of quitting, people can expect
substantial improvements in lung function. * In addition, people who quit smoking will have an
improved sense of smell, and food will taste better.
