Liane Harris BSChE, MSE

Liane Harris is a degreed Chemical Engineer with years of experience in
the manufacturing industry and reliability maintenance. She has worked in three different countries:
Philippines, U.S., and Canada. In the U.S., she worked at
Boise Cascade in Louisiana in the
Technical and Engineering Department as the plant’s Energy
Engineer. It is in this facility
that she has used ultrasound and knew of vibration analysis. In Canada, she worked with Domtar Specialty Fine Papers in St. Catharines, Ontario as a Process Engineer for the specialty
paper machine. In 1996, she went full time in Airborne
Ultrasound Technology and its applications, first in Sales and
Customer Support, then as a worldwide trainer. In 2002, she
picked up Vibration Analysis.
Liane has continued to provide ultrasonic
inspection services including Compressed Air Leak Surveys, Ultrasonic
PDM, and Ultrasound-Vibration Analysis to various manufacturing
industries. Liane is
an ASNT Certified Level 3 vibration analyst and diagnostician, Level 1 Infrared Thermographer, and
Level 2 Airborne Ultrasonic inspector. Giving formal and informal trainings
has always been a part of Liane’s working and community
volunteer services life. She is a Certified Trainer with United
Way for various non-profit agencies and a volunteer Tai Chi
instructor for the Salvation Army Liberty House in Toronto. As an individual who
believes that all senses must be involved for optimum learning
and retention, she incorporates this belief in her methods of
teaching, to the benefit of her students.
Liane is
the Vice-President of the Canadian Machinery Vibration
Association (CMVA), Ontario Chapter and a Board Member of the Society
of Maintenance and Reliability Professionals, Hamilton Chapter (SMRP Hamilton).

Mike Cannon
Level 3 Vibration Analyst |
Mike
has been a vibration analyst even before joining DLI
Engineering in 2000. A Level 2 Certified Vibration
Analyst, Mike has implemented and ran several vibration
programs in various manufacturing companies, one of
which is to a large manufacturing company in South
Carolina which has over 1500 machines. He has
commissioned, implemented, and provided training and
support to maintenance reliability professionals. He has
shared his expertise through formal training classes and
has been a guest speaker at different maintenance
conferences and vibration chapters in North America.
Mike loves vibration analysis so much that he continues
to do field vibration analysis aside from being DLI's
Eastern Technical Manager.
Down
to earth, practical, and knowledgeable in this field,
Mike is able to effectively impart his expertise to the
students to help them become successful in this field. |
