Compressed Air Leak Survey
| Compressed Air Leak Surveys are energy management issues. Industry
standard says that if a facility that is producing compressed air never had an
air leak survey done, about 30%-40% of their compressed air produced
escapes as leaks. Leak paths could be faulty instruments, pinholes in
the piping, loose fittings, cracked gaskets, etc. With rising energy
costs, increasing maintenance and spare parts pricing, we all need to be
vigilant in ensuring that our energies are used efficiently.
If you hear the sound of your compressed air leaks then you only
detected about 20% of your actual plant
leaks. The other 80% are not detected due to leak size, location,
accessibility, hearing capability, and environmental conditions.
For a thorough and well organized Air Leak Survey, one needs to go
beyond his human capabilities of hearing, seeing, and feeling and
incorporate tools that will make the survey more effective and
efficient. |

ECS2 Group's Air Leak Surveyors are field experienced and use
ultrasonic detectors to find leaks even as small as those that can not
be felt by human hands.
Reporting includes amount of compressed air leak lost (cfm),
pictures, and
costing.
